DO I NEED TO KNOW ABOUT SPIRITS TO INVEST?
Not at all. We guide you through the entire process—from selecting your cask to deciding what to do when it matures. Whether you're new to cask ownership or already a collector, our team is here to guide you.
WHY DOES STORAGE MATTER SO MUCH?
Poor storage can ruin even the best spirit. Our underground WWII vaults offer the ideal environment for ageing: cool, dark, stable, and secure. These natural conditions help your cask mature smoothly and retain its value.
WILL MY CASK DEFINITELY APPRECIATE IN VALUE?
Returns can’t be guaranteed, but historically, well-aged rum and whisky have performed strongly—especially when matured under the right conditions.
WHAT'S THE ANGEL SHARE?
This is the natural evaporation that happens during maturation—around 2–5%
per year. It’s part of what gives aged spirits their character and concentration, and our vault conditions help keep this consistent, controlled and to a minimum.
HOW CAN I BE SURE I OWN MY CASK?
Every cask comes with a certificate of ownership, full traceability, and secure physical storage in our vaults. You can also visit by appointment to taste and see its progress.
IS CASK INVESTMENT REGULATED?
Cask ownership is not a regulated financial
product, so it doesn’t fall under FCA oversight. That’s why transparency, trust, and a clear exit strategy are so important to us. We’re open about every step of the process, and we only work with
traceable, fully authenticated casks.
CAN I BUY A CASK AS A GIFT FOR A MINOR?
Yes—many of our clients gift casks for birthdays, weddings, or milestone events. We can facilitate ownership for minors however when the cask is bottled or removed from our warehouse the owner must be over 18 years old.
DO I NEED TO INSURE OUR CASKS?
All casks stored with us are insured, with a minimum cover of £100 per tonne. For younger casks, this is usually sufficient but as your cask matures and its value grows, you may wish to increase your cover. We’re happy to advise, but any additional policies must be held in your name as the cask owner.
