This Thursday marks the 80th Anniversary of Victory in Europe Day – a time for us all to pause, remember, and raise a glass to those who gave so much.
To commemorate this, we parked our 'Rum production' for a one off, limited edition run of our VE Day London Dry Gin to raise support and donations for a charity that has come to mean so much to us.
Why We Made It
At Distinct Distillers, our connection to the veteran community isn’t just symbolic. It’s personal. Last year, we launched a D-Day Dark Rum and developed a partnership with The Taxi Charity For Military Veterans. In December, we had the privilege of welcoming 12 D-Day veterans to our distillery and the volunteer taxi drivers who dedicate so much of their time to this cause. We were able to show them around the site which is one of the few WWII-era underground facilities still in use today and share our history with them. Hearing their stories first hand inspired us to want to do even more to support and honour them and all who have served.
A Gin with Purpose
This VE Day Gin has been distilled and bottled at our distillery in Shropshire with a range of botanicals such as juniper, coriander, and lemon verbena for a delicate, crisp citrus finish.
For every bottle sold, we donate £2 to the Taxi Charity for Military Veterans: a volunteer led organisation who do amazing work to support the comfort and dignity of British veterans.
